Yep perfect name for it. What I really like about this color is how it makes the beautiful lines of the S550 appear. Which is shown on the Youtube video I posted earlier. One of the best named colors Ford ever did, it fits perfectly with the Mach 1 Yeager connection and I was thrilled when I saw nearly identical matches on late 50’s early 60‘s fighters at the Pima Air Museum in Tucson. Yes we all know it’s also sprayed as Cactus Grey (my folks have a CG Bronco Sport) and they are indeed the same when parked next to each other. But I like the color on the Mustang and it’s one reason I special ordered mine that way. It will be rarer than we think to see one on a Mustang in the coming years, mark my word.
That's why creative marketing folks are worth their weight in gold. Ask Don Draper.I wonder how much desire would there be if Ford advertised it as Cactus Grey. Yeah, it doesn't sound as delicious as FJG, even though as a member pointed out, this color name does not officially exist for touch up paint
I want my red oxide 70'-80's high school parking lot primer color dam it.Its really primer gray with a hint of green, but comes with cool orange painted calipers and pin striping.![]()
