Get a Griptec SC pulley. This will allow you to greatly reduce the needed belt tension to keep traction on the pulley, which helps reduce the tension on everything the belt touches, especially the Crankshaft.
The H.O kit uses the factory tensioner so there is no added tension/stress on anything

Wouldn't the Griptec pulley aid in preventing belt slip?

It also uses a second mechanical tensioner on the bracket that is on the passenger side.

Also using the griptech pulley allows you to use a much smaller pulley for more boost, while still maintaining the six rib setup. I have a 3.25-in pulley on my HO setup and it never slips even at 16 PSI

I believe we are talking about two different kits because my HO kit doesn’t use any tensioner but the factory one in the factory location.

That is the 50 state smog compliant kit. My blower is on the drivers side, and uses both the factory spring tensioner, as well as a screw type tensioner with a lock nut on the passenger side bracket

Yeah im gonna make the switch from 3:55’s to 3:15’s . I already have the 3:15 diff in my shed. Problem is my factory 3:55’s keeps leaking fluid at the passenger side axle seal 6 months after being replaced. My local mustang mechanic told me after he installed the new axle seal, if it leaks again I need to replace the differential. 1st gear is useless with the 6r80 and 3:55’s, the 3:15’s should improve that.

Is that kit carb legal?
I thought we were talking about a legal kit

Carb legal kit is out of the question for me. I have to figure out how I am going to pass NJ emissions next year. Here our monitors have to be on.

Carb legal means 50 state legal you can smog it in any of the United States. I’m in California so just as bad

If I was still on stock headers, then I could just swap my factory manifold and intake back on and get the carb legal kit.
