Map intake is a one piece of mandrel bent stainless no bead.
Yeah, one piece that won't work with their upgraded turbo unless its cut and rewelded or completely traded in depending on what they decide to do for current customers.

FFTEC had the fore thought to make their intake 2 pieces so it could be used with stock or their upgrade. Its not a knock against MAP, but this an FFTEC thread...

The coupler isn't metal bro. And we are allowed to talk about comparison and contrast between things we prefer and don't. A smart company will make a turbo upgrade location to accomodate parts other than what they produce to expand their market share.

MAPs intake doesn't look like it will work with their own turbo upgrade unless you modify it. FFTEC's can be rotated to work with both turbo positions. And being a FFTEC thread I thought I'd point out a big advantage it has over competitors.

I'd like to point out also that I have nothing against MAP and I think their CAI looks nice, I just personally think its not ideal for my needs/desires.

I am also not saying that FFTEC did not make their CAI to fit multiple uprgraded positions. I just think that a CAI and turbo go hand in hand. Constructive compare/contrast is always good.

Since when is a welded intake two pieces? It's easier to cut through a pipe then a weld bead. Essentially both intakes would need to be cut and reworked to accommodate a different turbo. Also If I were to purchase an upgrade kit I would want an intake specifically tailored to that application. Not a universal unplug and reconfigure based system as you described. I'm sure FFTEC isn't using the stock location intake either for the EFR upgrade.

I am also no hating or fanboying any company as I'm not using either system. I merely from an asethetic standpoint prefer a one piece intake. While Im sure others disagree and I'm okay with that.

FFTEC's intake is two pieces. It absolutely works with their non-stock location turbo upgrade. It doesn't need to be reworked at all.

You're right, just checked it out. Makes sense, I stand corrected.
