I wonder if you disable Cobb's FFS feature and just full throttle shift it, would boost fall off as fast since the rpm goes north on the tach instead of south?

When I executed this properly in every other mustang I've owned, it was always like the car wanted to rip itself out of its own skin and jump forward a full car length... I realize this is harder on the car, but if you want to win races, you have to drive it like you stole it!

Does anyone have thoughts or opinions on this?

Don't do it. The rods on this car are already near their limits, That kind of shock loading I'd expect another Ecoboom thread sooner rather than later

I have only done this once on the EBM just to determine how effective this would be, but it was on the stock tune. It definitely shocks the tires and suspension, however it initially recovered only to have the ecu bring in the nannies and either pull timing and/or close the throttle.

I understand the WOT box can impose an ignition cut to allow the turbo to maintain positive pressure during a FFS which would be easier on the engine, drivetrain, etc. The caveat is having to splice into the factory harness.

@Tune+ Does the Cobb AP have the ability to implement this type of FFS? My understanding is the existing FFS feature is a fuel cut which drops positive pressure in the intake manifold.

No, because the factory rev limiter is throttle cut and not fuel cut so it will actually hurt you if you do that. There would be tremendous lag.

I see. You can see how this one would be a different story.

Indeed different... however not my first turbo car or a cobb tuned ffs car. It just feels very different than anything I have ever experienced when wot shifting concerning the stutter and/or power drop off in the EBM. Just trying to understand the tuning logic and if there are ways to electronically keep this from happening, preferably utilizing the AP.

Is that assuming I'm hitting the rev limiter during the ffs? In this particular scenario, the Rev limiter was not hit. The power cut was definitely post shift completion and post tires and suspension absorbing the shock. Am I missing something?

Btw, congrats on the 10 sec et!
