I just got my GT PP rotors and pads replaced on tues and i still have a noise coming out....that was my 4th time going and they finally replaced them but its still happening. My noise was just coming from the right passenger side during light braking. Well its still there so nothing really happened. I personally think they couldnt figure out what it was so they took the easy way out to just replace the rotors and pads. im still going to give it about 500 miles see if anything happens but i will take it back if it dont come off. I agree with others that these brakes should not make noise.

im pretty sure it only happens on mine after a 1 hour 50 mile drive, and at very low speeds very light brake pressure nearing a stop.

Well, I drove 25 miles to the dealer, was unable to replicate it on my own on the way. They were unable to replicate it so I asked that they pull the tires and perform a visual inspection. They said they did, checking pads, rotors, calipers and break hardware. I also asked them to look for stickers on the calipers (If there is a pic available I would love to see it) and they said they inspected everything. Fair enough, I know they have to hear it, and they will when it returns.

Of larger concern is, as I was doing the paperwork the service writer told me my rear tires were in the "yellow". Now I know what that means but I said, "What does that mean?" He said they would have to be replaced soon because the fronts were at a 9 and the rears were around 2 or 3. Then I asked "What could cause that?" And he said excessive tire spinning.

Ok, I know this is a sports car but I'm almost 40 years old, and its my first brand new car. I have never launched, disabled traction control, or lit up the tires, and the car has less than 5K miles on it. So I told him I've never done this and I'm the only one that has ever driven the car, and I asked if there was a warranty. He said there is no warranty on factory tires. So I took my toys and I left.

When I got home, I emailed the Ford rep that originally contacted me and described what happened. I told her I was concerned the tire issue might be connected to a larger undiagnosed problem. She called me fairly quickly and said something a little different. She didn't address it being part of a larger issue, but she said the tires do have a warranty, 12/12,000 but that the tech said they don't qualify.

I gotta say, I am beyond frustrated. I take care of, and respect my car and they implied I am driving like a teenager because their tires are worn at 4,900 miles. Not sure what to do.

I understand about the lifespan of the tires. I guess its just depressing in light of the other issues, when you spend nearly $40k on a car that has been a lifelong dream.

Redeemer, I do drive a teenager (sometimes) and I line locked (once) and burned the tires up several times racing. I am over 40 and this is my 8th stang . This car is special ( like all the others) but I knew what I was getting into with the PP car: no square setup so no 5000 mile rotation to save tire life and also these are summer tires..below 40 C and snow, ice ..not useful...I am in the process of testing a square setup... My car has 3200 miles and the rear wear is okay but I see trouble in my future.. I snapped a few pics of my rear tire at 3000 miles ..hope this helps ...also Pirelli will still work with you for defects in workmanship and design for at least 1 year on a case by case..until then might I suggest a good all season tire with a square setup that way you will get about 40,000 miles or more instead of the estimated 12 or 15 or so out of those stockers

You’re always welcomed to get a second opinion at a different Ford Dealer, Redeemer. Be sure to let your CSM know if you do.

This is exactly what happens with mine but if the pads and rotors were replaced and you still have the problem. What could be the cause for this sound?

I am taking my car in for the second time on Monday. First time the dealership resurfaced the brake pads and rotors. The noise went away but is now back two weeks later. Again, it only does it when braking lightly in the 30MPH to 0MPH range.

^^^ Try anit-squeal compound on the back of the brake pads. If you go do a few hard stops from 60 MPH does the low speed/light braking squeal then stop?

I tried bedding the brakes before I took it in last time from 55MPH to 0MPH but the sound was still there. The sound is still there now. Have you had success with the anti-squeal compound?

I'm not sure what the cause of the sound is? This doesn't seem like a common issue or is it?

Anyone with PP built after the TSB dates having this issue? My brakes sound similar to a fog horn with light pressure at low speeds. My build date is 05/15, the TSB only covers up to 02/15 build date if I remember right.
