I’ve got a set of the Herpa accessory stripes in black (non faded) if anyone is interested.

Oh and just checked faded stripes price, just over £600 for the set in silver but 2 of the 3 sections are back ordered.

i'm pretty sure those back orders will probably never be fulfilled i seem to remember ford saying they'd cancelled them totally which is why they're not options any more to select and why people like ford parts uk stopped selling them they couldn't get them

Sadly I reckon you could be right. Or if they do it could be months from now till they become available.

you're much cheaper just going to a vinyl or wrapping company and getting them to make+fit them anyway think mine cost about £150 fitted and its 4 separate stripes as its pin stripes too I would guess faded would be similar as its only 2 stripes but probably more expensive material

the ones I got (they were free to me) had an internal invoice in the box - which added up to approx. a grand !! maybe Ford retail them as a loss leader? I have to say I was amazed - considering that I got offers from independent vehicle wrappers to create them for about the same price or less.... the other issue as stated above is "availability" ---might be worth talking to a few vehicle wrapping companies to see if they could "make" a similar set?

When I got my aftermarket stripes fitted the wrapping company I used told me that my local Ford dealer uses them to fit the factory stripes instead of doing it themselves at the dealership. The stripes are of such poor quality they just throw them away and make some new ones from sctratch. I don't see how anyone would be able to tell.

Thought ford got them done at the factory? I've seen them being delivered with stripes on???

Badly in my case getting a couple of replacement bits fitted the week of the 14th together with some dents removal in the passenger door and hopefully replacement of door seals and rear light cluster

In my case it was an aftermarket set of stripes ------

TrustFord farmed the work out to their "highly recommended and respected" body shop - they daren't do it!

So then it went to a "highly respected and recommended" paint shop and wrapping company - they made a terrible job
(more bubbles than an aero bar, glue everywhere and at an angle the leaning tower of Pizza would be proud of!)

I refused it

Then I demanded that they send me the stripes (a new set obviously) -

hence I received them direct from Ford and hence a local vehicle wrapping company did the job for me instead

Which is also how I got access to the "internal Ford invoices" as they were attached to the boxes when delivered

it may of course be, that the costs on these internal invoices were purely cost centre transfer numbers and not related to the actual retail price -

but blimey compared to a set of stripes from your local fitter - they were expensive!

they will be more expensive than standard because they will have to print them at the wrapper where the solid stripes are just cut from standard colours and plastics .

Yep in a couple of places especially behind the spoiler where it has bubbled up and contains a lot of water

My faded stripes installed at Flat Rock came with a few complimentary specks of dust under them.

I was reading somewhere that one long term employee at the plant has the sole duty of installing the stripes.

Bloke needs to retire if he did mine and if you look at the photo the bumper stripes look a bit off just like mine
