I finally have a little extra cash and will be buying the factory subwoofer and brackets for my 2015 with the 9 speaker system. My question is for the harness. As I don't have access to a car with a factory sub I would like to know what the factory harness looks like and where it plugs in. Can someone take a few pics of the brackets and harness, and where it plugs in? Has anyone tried this before? I'd hate to buy this stuff only to find out the BCM won't supply power or a signal to the unit.
Also, I went the aftermarket route a few months back and while it sounded good, it was a bit much and I just like the looks and ease of the factory sub. Long story short, I got all my money back on the aftermarket sub and can get the stock sub and brackets for a good discount.

I live not far from you in Hillview so if you do end up doing this I would love to check it out sometime. Also if you can get another one of the factory subs cheap and it's easy to wire up I wouldn't mind possibly getting one and doing the same

http://www.discountfordpartsfromsoundford.net/ford-parts/ This is the site I went to. The subwoofer is part# FR3Z-18808-A, The Bracket is part# FR3Z-18807-A and the front plastic cover for the bottom of the speaker enclosure is FR3Z-18B947-A. I have not verified that these are the 100% correct part numbers so call them and ask as you're ordering. They are the cheapest I've found so far. No part # on the harness though.

Seems I've found a sticky and will be posting in that section too. Looks like a rather large harness.

If you like solid deep bass the factory sub is not a good choice. I had a 2015 401a and now a 400a with a 300rms mix amp and slim box 12" kicker sub and the aftermarket is way way better sounding.

if it's anything like last gen, if there is no factory sub, there is no factory wiring for it.

There's a factory sub if you get the 401A package in the GT. I had a 10" amplified sub but got tired of it moving around. I just got my JBL door speakers in yesterday so I'll hook those up when the weather is better. I'll probably just leave it at that. The engine sounds better anyway.

right, but if you don't have a 401A car with the factory sub, you don't get the wiring.

I could easily do the job but I don't want to spend that much. I have a 10" sub in a tube and an older Alpine amp laying around if I decide to go aftermarket again. Kind of like the extra room in the trunk though as it's my daily driver.

Did you ever figure out if there is a harness on the 400A?
I am in the same boat with you the 400A just lack of oomph and I want a clean look truck.

Nope. I just bought an Infinity powered sub for $170. Hopefully it'll last for awhile. After research it seems they have a tendency to self destruct. Guess that's what the warranty is for.

If you do get a stock subwoofer hooked up like the factory please post how you did it as I may eventually do this to my car. Thanks.
