So we took the Ecoboost to the track last night and had a really fun time! Unfortunately we were only able to get a few runs in because the track was pretty packed.

The car is factory stock with 500 miles on it. No weight reduction was done and this is the premium package with no performance package. What's crazy is that even with the bad 60' my time was even at the 1/8 mile mark while moving a little over 1.5 mph faster before missing the gear.

The 14.3 time slip I missed 4th gear :tsk: It's a bit different than the Mach 1.
I think high 13's are within reach even with the low gears.

So with the PP could we see high to mid 13's?

It won't make much of a difference, PP or not. Tires may be a bit stickier on the PP but the non-PP has taller sidewalls. The shorter gearing may help a little bit, I'll concede.

I would think that 13's should be easily attainable on either version.

For comparison, here is my time slip from my bone stock 2011 V6 with stock 18" Pirelli A/S. Only pass I've ever made in the car. It was the very last day our local drag strip, KCIR, was open, it's permanently closed now. That's a 13.97 BTW, the 7 got wet or something.

Your 330' seems to be a little off compared to mine. Often, 330' is more indicative of your launch than 60'. I was already ahead almost .15 at the 330', but behind by .10 at the 60', so I had a much harder launch. Perhaps your 1-2 shift was too early?

Even with the power tapering off after 5500 rpm on your EB, I would definitely hold first gear until redline. From there you can shift at the power peak, or just after.

The reason is "total HP under the curve" (calculus). The ratio spread from 1-2 is so wide that the car puts down more average hp by shifting at redline.

I had a friend that actually wrote a computer program for this. You input the final gear ratios for each gear, along with dyno chart hp data, and it told you the exact rpm to shift at for each gear to maximize the average hp you were putting down.

This was for a 600cc motorcycle, but the end results were simplified to shifting at the limiter on the 1-2, and decreasing the shift point by 200 rpm for each gear change until the 5-6.

Awesome! My best run with the PP and manual was 14.7 My launches were terrible. Redline 1st gear and shift 800 RPM before redline for each gear after? Sounds about right. If you get the "optimal" shift RPMs for the PP please post!

I definitely did not redline all gears on my fastest run, shifted early and it helped the time. I need to go back now that I have my launches more or less figured out. Do you know the best Launch RPM?

14.2@96 was the best I got with our EB. Bone stock 6 speed manual non PP premium car with 87 octane dealer fuel and 140 miles on it. Car picked up HP and TQ on the dyno with just a fuel change so I am sure 13s would be possible stock on 93.
Looking forward to going back in the spring with some mods.

That is extremely impressive., I would assume on slicks? I have the PP manual and ran a 14.7 best time on 87. A few 14.4s on 93. Can you specify any launch pointers? Or 60' times? I'm not having much luck getting my 0-60 below 5.9 on the factory Pirellis. What are your shift points? 5800 rpm every gear?

I either spin or bog down. The times I get what feels like a good launch with little spin and no bogging the 0-60 times are around 6.0....

Everybody with EB times should throw the information into the Fast List.

I was 100% stock down to the tires with 2.1-2.2 60 foot times slipping the clutch a little on launch and shifting right before the limiter. Tried going through the traps in 3rd but hit the limiter right before. TC off

What's interesting is my friend with a base Eco auto went 14.02 @ 98 in 85*+ weather...factory stock with 93 in the tank. 13's for a stocker should be very doable in good air.

1/8 mile could be better, I was hitting 9.2-9.4 consistantly In my 2008 Civic Si-stock with all season tires. I can't wait to go to the track and see what I hit in the 1/8 and 1/4.

I ran 13.8 at 102 this weekend with stock wheels, all seasons, Mishimoto CAI and FR catback. This was also with 3/4 of a tank of 92 octane gas. No tune yet and this is almost a loaded premium

It would be awesome to see what your car could do with a 1/4 tank and drag radials. In fact, it would be awesome to see how fast you could go on full bolt ons without a tune.

If I had drag radials that would have easily been a 13.5 the track was well prepped but I was getting terrible traction
