Earlier last week I was positive that I would have the last 10/26 build week car delivered. I feel for you guys that are still waiting, and wish you an imminent delivery! I'll be very happy when this thread is closed!
It was all worth it. Hang tight, you will be glad you waited. I don't think think it would be the same if I cancelled my order and bought a dealer stock car.
You know, I'll bet it just never left flat rock. Last week when I called my dealer, he said his info said the car was going to be build next week, even though it was built on 10/28. We both had a laugh at that one. I just think cotus has no idea what is going on when a car gets a qc hold.
Update: Car was delivered! I'll pick it up tomorrow when I get back in town!
Lesson learned. Next time I order a car from Ford, I'm never checking cotus. It will get there when it gets there and I'll save myself all the anxiety.*
Havent checked cotus all day after this happened until just now, I sure hope this is real! If cotus is bullshitting me again im not going to be a happy camper.
We didn't discuss this, so I don't know.
My dealer did not seem to know anything beyond that my car was built, but had not been released for shipping. I spoke to them last week, and now since saturday COTUS says my car is "in transit", so maybe it has been released. I'll call the dealer today...
I promised that I would elaborate on my earlier post, so here I am. I do not have any information specific to the QC holds on our cars, just general QC hold information.
So, my uncle works in QC at the Kansas city truck plant (Claycomo). He explained to me that quality holds or "campaigns" as...
It won't make much of a difference, PP or not. Tires may be a bit stickier on the PP but the non-PP has taller sidewalls. The shorter gearing may help a little bit, I'll concede.
I would think that 13's should be easily attainable on either version.
For comparison, here is my time slip...
Talked with my uncle today, he works at the Kansas city truck assembly plant. He said that quality holds are common and that that is probably what happened. They will release the cars as they are checked. I'll elaborate on what exactly he said when I'm not using my phone.
My car finally went to "In Transit" today. EDD is 12/9. Hopefully it will get here sooner!
Original EDD was 11/15. Car was built on 10/28 and sitting at Flat Rock.
Manual GT Premium here, built 10/29, still awaiting shipment. As of 11/13 my dealer said it still had not been 'released' and was still at Flat Rock. Original EDD of 11/15, no EDD on cotus now.
I agree, there is a reason so many cars are being held up. I saw another post that mentioned a hold...
Crap, I didn't even see those. Sure looks like a Guard one in front. I've never seen that darn color in person and that's what I ordered!
Oh well, at least I'll be surprised when I take possession next week. Fingers crossed.
