I was watching a cringe-worthy S550 Mustang video made by a drag guy. He said that you can "activate the factory 2-step" in A10 cars.

Can anyone shed some light on what he meant by that?

I thought factory launch control was only available with a manual transmission? However, it does look like there is a product on the market that is supposed to be plug and play to allow for launch control, but it’s pricey.

Oooooh......he meant the LC when he said "2-step"???

I gotta be honest, I don't even know what a "2-step" is. I thought that was for turbo cars, staging at drag lights.

It's for anything in terms of power adders or N/A vehicles. It just allows the driver to hold the gas to the floor without bouncing off the factory rev limiter which is much higher and not really good for the car. Once they release the trans brake, it turns off the 2 step and let's the power come in.

Another option used on manual and auto cars is the N2MB Wot Box which has a 2-Step, No Lift Shifting and even a built in nitrous controller (with the separately purchased nitrous add-on harness).
