Is there a way to force the external temp readout (Next to the clock) to update? Mine sat a 70 degree's for 10 minutes before it jumped to 80 degrees. That why I was wondering if there is a way to force it to update?

Were you in motion or stationary? If stationary, the sensor may need an airflow in motion passing over it before showing changes.

All of external temp sensors have bugged out occasionally. After some time it will get to the right temp and work like normal. Not sure why they do this but I've had it happen on my last six or seven cars (not just Ford). No clue how you'd go about resetting outside of disconnecting the battery.

Yes, the car was in motion 35-40 MPH. Once it hit the updated 80 degree reading it stayed up to date. I've had it do the same thing, but in reverse... tell me that it's 85 degrees when I know it at least 10 degrees cooler, then it catches up. It's pretty intermittent.

All of my cars that have thermometers have always read a few degrees high, even in the winter. Is it too difficult to just compensate by a couple degrees?

My girlfriends car has one in Celsius. It has read 99 degrees for the past three weeks. So either my tolerance for heat has grown or the sensor has gone bad.
