Expected Clutch Life

My apologies if this had been discussed somewhere first, but I was curious to know what kind of clutch life I should expect from my Bullitt. I know there are about a million variables that can effect it, but I'm curious to see how other folks have done.

Its how you drive it. I have a car with 165k original clutch, drives just as it did day 1. That same car, people are blowing clutches at 20-60k elsewhere. I baby my car, I do not ride the friction zone ever and I do mostly highway. I expect 200-250k out of my cars clutch on that car.

Mustang will be same, 99% highway and I also drive it that way.

Its completely variable. I imagine the mustangs clutch being much better than my other Toyota car as well.

I do get that. Most of my driving is highway, so my clutch should last pretty well. It doesn't seem that the clutch is particularly short lived or problematic in these guys anyway.

It just depends. My work truck, I have 541,000 miles on the original clutch. My 99 f350 with a 7.3 has 195,000 on it. My clutch in the Mustang just fell apart at 51,000. It was running great all the way home, then coming off the off ramp, I downshifted from 60mph to 3rd and it just felt weird and I smelt clutch. Now I'm trying to decide on what to put in. Definitely replacing the plastic hydraulic line and getting a new t/o bearing. Thinking Spec stage 1 or stage 2.

My 16' clutch had half life at 19k. Been driving stick for 22 years. OEM clutch for the 16' is made in Turkey. They replaced it with another OEM and this one has terrible vibes during disengagement around 1800 rpm range. Something isn't balanced. Going to have a REAL tranny shop diagnose next week instead of the Ford dealership. Suspect I will need another new clutch. This time a much better upgrade with braided line.

I think I am going to try the sprung hub RST. I like the Tilton but they only make it for the Magnum XL. That would be a fun swap though.
