I'm not proud to say that my exhaust tips have been neglected for far too long... What products do you guys use to clean yours? Can I just use any old chrome cleaner? I want to get mine shinny again like factory :)

I searched and could not find this discussed before.

Thanks.

I use carburetor cleaner on the chrome tips works very well. Just spray some into a rag and wipe the carbon away.

Never Dull. Great on all metals and safw to use on chrome. I use it on my '67 Fastback to prevent any pitting on the outer trim pieces. It also removes carbon build up and surface rust.

Just basic Spray 9 or any basic cleaner with 0000 Steel wool for hard baked on deposits. The 0000 grade steel wool can remove any hard deposits without causing any visible scratches; can cause micro-scratches that aren't visible to the human eye however.

Clean your tips everytime you clean the car and you'll never have an issue getting them looking like new.

The exhaust tips are stainless steel, not chrome. You can use any cleaner or metal polish on them. I find fine Scotchbrite (white) with Wenol polish will clean and polish anything that accumulates. Same thing that I use on my motorcycle exhaust pipes, and those get really dirty.

WD 40 will clean them up like new in a flash, no matter how bad they are. Good stuff.

Scratch x or some rubbing compound makes them like new.

Me crazy, and I can't help myself
After watching all of the "Obsessed Garage" videos on dialing in the GT350, i ended up purchasing the same product that he used P21S polishing soap

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002LOLHH...UTF8&colid=38N1IZX8AEY1V&coliid=IJYVHUNKBJPBX

While i can't give it my personal endorsement since my car went into winter storage before i had a chance to use it, the guy from the video is way more particular than i am about these types of things so I'm going with the good enough for him, good enough for me approach
