I'm pretty much at the point where I have figured out what I want, and I'm hoping you guys could answer some of my questions about it.

I've been looking at the Kooks 1 7/8 catted headers and the Borla S-Type 3" catback. How friendly do these two parts meet?
-Am I going to need some kind of adapter or extension? O2 sensors fit right?
-On the Ford Racing website it says to install the high performance clutch line when doing headers (http://fordperformanceracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?PartKeyField=25002), how necessary is this?
-And am I going to need any kind of tune after this?

Thanks for the help, been a lurker for awhile.

They'll work just fine together, both have a neck down portion that would allow you to run with factory. They'll mate with the OEM supplied slip clamps already on your mustang:)

Hope that helps, if you have any questions or need some nice package deals hit us up!

Those will work great together!! Yes you will want to get it tuned after install. You'll also pick up some nicer power from tuning so its a no brainer.

If interested in a quote let me know. We have Kooks and Borla on sale now. As well as SCT tuners!

Those two systems will work together. You will need O2 extensions along with a tune for the headers. Now as far as the clutch line goes, It's not needed when you do LTH but couldn't hurt if it's within the price range your looking to be in. Please feel free to contact me for 6G member pricing on everything you may need or with any other questions you may have.

Thanks for all the help guys! I will for sure contact the vendors that answered my questions when I finally pull the trigger.

As for the O2 extensions, is there anyway around this? I've heard people having so many issues with O2 extensions, is that not really the case for the s550? Is there a brand that makes quality extensions over the rest?

Headers will come with the O2 extensions.

On my Pypes LTH I only had to use one extension the front driver side sensor. The others you should be able to reposition if necessary.

The extensions that come with the headers usually work fine. No issues to my knowledge outside of an installer error.

Awesome. So if I need to get a tune after this, and if I was to get a CAI down the road, would I have to get it re-tuned? If that's the case I should just do it now? And as far as tuning goes, if I wanted just a 92-93 tune I could just buy one of the tuners with presets? Is there much of a difference?

You could use the can tune if you wanted to but most tuners offer free revisions unless you do major changes (i.e super charger, cams) so I would tune now and revise as your build progresses.
