I know I can just ask the dealer about this, but I want to see first if anyone does this.... I don't want the Perrilli A/S that came with the car. Depending on when it gets delivered I want either Michelin PSS or X-Ice3 on it. Sooooo, do dealers "buy back" the stock tires and sell me Michelins?

I'm sure they will happily order you some but seriously doubt they would buy them back. No profit in it for them.

At best you can get them to swap for wheels or tires on another car in stock. They wont go buy you something new. At least without charging you for it.

I just took the factory A/S tires and I'm showing them no mercy until they are dead...

I was maybe thinking along the lines of "Now we have 4 brand new Pirelli's in stock we can sell, so here's $800 in credit". A little too optimistic?

They have been mounted, so can't be sold as new. At best they can be called "factory take offs". They probably don't want to mess with selling them, new are much easier for them.

OK then. So look for them in the Marketplace when I finally take delivery!

I have gone straight from the dealer to discount tire and have sold them the factory tires for good $$$ more than once. My 4Runner and a BMW. Both times I have gotten 90% value for them. Check it out. Doesn't hurt
