This post is in reference to the new 2016 Mustangs with the Option Group 200A (SYNC 3 8" touch screens).

I've tried to search on here and looked up the 200A Option Group online and all I keep seeing is:

1) AM/FM stereo/single-CD player with 9 speakers and amplifier
2) SiriusXM® Satellite Radio with 6-month trial subscription
3) SYNC® 3 Enhanced Voice Recognition Communications and Entertainment System with 8" color LCD touch screen in center stack with swiping capability, 911 Assist®, AppLink,TM and 2 smart-charging USB ports

Is the 200A 9 speaker system inclusive of a sub or not? Is this also the prior "Shaker" system setup?

I don't see a reference to the above being the "base" system for 2016 (which the base in 2015 used to come with the small 4" monitor in the stack).

Thanks in advance for further info!!

The 9 speaker system is in cars with the premium trim. No sub in the trunk. The sub comes with the Shaker Pro 201A or 401A upgrades

Sandpiper answered it, but to elaborate a little more:

The most basic stereo is in the non-Premium models, that's the smaller 4" display, running Sync (not Sync 3), 6 speaker.

When you option a Premium model, it automatically includes Sync 3 with the 8" display, and also bumps up from a 6 speaker, to 9 speaker Shaker audio.

Then in the Premium models, there's an option to go Shaker Pro, this still includes the Sync 3 with 8" display, but bumps the speakers to 12, includes a sub in the trunk, the speakers are polymer cone, I believe the output increases to 375 amps.

Also note that the Shaker Pro options package (I believe it's the same in GT and other models), also includes BLIS (Blind Spot Info System) and lighting/seat memory package.

Thanks fellas for the responses!

So just curious - with the 9 spkr system, even though it does not come with the sub were those cars built with the wiring (hidden)?

There is no plug for the sub, at least not in the 2015's. I'm looking into the part # of the harness that has that plug. Likely to be the harness that runs the taillights, reverse light, trunk light and speakers. I just can't find the parts diagram with that harness in it.
