So Guys n Gals my car was supposed to be on the Ship that departed on the 17th Talisman ...Now how long does it normally take to be updated to "loaded on Vessel" ??? just trying to confirm its ON the Boat....

Coupla days BEFORE departure.














I think it was same day for one of mine, don't think it was _after_.

The ship gets there the day before so it won't be 2 days before.

Let's see what happens tomorrow ( Monday their time ).

I've emailed WWL for an answer on the BOL ( which isn't showing as loaded ).

im in the same boat ozdaz, (lol pun) i believe so long as you have the BOL then it has to be on the boat as thats the whole point of the BOL. but we'll see.

First of all there is a booking number
Then the bill of lading
Booking numbers can refer to lets say x50 cars, but if one cannot fit on the ship or lets say it has a bit of damage and cannot be loaded, a bill of lading is still used.
But, the bill of lading will only reflect x49 cars on the document for custom purposes. This is how I see it.
The supplier has to submit the bill of lading, the commercial invoice, fumigation certificates / declarations etc for entry into Australia.
Shipping containers are more simple as once packed the goods are within a steel box, whereas a car under a multiple booking number (x50 cars) are only packed when all x50 cars make it safely onboard the ship. x1 car refused can change the process slightly.

Not quite.

Salome has just sailed from Southhampton and is in the middle of the English Channel.

That vessel will be Baltimore on about the 28th of this month.
