I hear you - sometimes I think too much knowledge of the Ford 'system' is a bad thing...!

How do you know when your car has been loaded on the train? Or is it all guesswork once you are in 'awaiting shipment' phase?

Nah, COTUS will stop updating after that stage - it will be 'In Transit' forever as its designed for the US market.

Is their a way of finding out exactly when your car was brought to the docks? I have a build date but knowing when it got to the docks would give me a better picture of how much longer I have to wait before it gets allocated a boat.

I have a build date of 17/02/2017 which means it should have been at the docks by the 27th?

Probably about then yes. Mine was built 2nd Feb and was at the docks 13th. It's booked for the Tarago so keep an eye on track and trace.

got my VIN from Ford today... they said production is due late this month... so expect car here in late June / early July...

dealer said April...

now to wait for a Window Sticker

Hi All I’m a Newbie here to the site , been reading so much information which is wonderful
My car has just moved to In Transit l was so excited, but after reading i am under the impression it can still sit on the docks for a while , is this correct ?

Unfortunately you are correct. Its prob got 4-6 weeks on the docks (some have had longer)
