Estimated Delivery Date

Hey everyone who was lucky enough to receive their 2015 stang so far. How exact was the estimated delivery date? Did some receive before or after the date? My build date is 10/22. Completed on 10/15. Estimated delivery 11/16.

I don't think we can draw any conclusions from the orders already built and delivered. The whole process is so new to Ford, it's a work in progress; they are learning as they go. Hopefully they are getting more efficient, but it's probably impossible to make reliable delivery predictions. My EDD is 11/10, so I'm banking on that date.

The ETA is a computer generated date based on a best guess. there are not enough deliveries having been done to give us a baseline average, simply because so many have been held at a train yard, so many more have been put on QA holds. some are delivered, but, those were before the ETA's were really put on there. others were delivered before the COTUS showed "In transit"

My car, started with an ETA on 11/4, and is showing in transit. i am wondering if it will really take 2 weeks to get from Flat Rock to Omaha - i think i could make the drive in a day.

COTUS estimates 4 weeks to California. The only CA cars I have tracked made the journey in about 2 weeks, even to lowly Madera where my dealer is. His first 051A car arrived and was sold while COTUS was still showing delivery nearly two weeks off. So my guess is you'll see yours in early November as opposed to the middle of the month.

How is it that your car was completed 10/15 if the build date is this coming Wednesday? Moved up?

My car was built 10/1 and my EDD was 10-12 thru 10/18. Well as of Sat the 18th I have not received my car. The countdown and estimated delivery date are also gone from cotus. I live in Michigan so no rail system needed. So all I'll say is don't get your hopes up:frusty::thumbdown:

Makes perfect sense. You go to In Production 7 days before your BuiltOn date. You are exactly two days ahead of me. Maybe on the same train to LA!

Just like what was said above. My car has been built since 9-24. It never went into "transit" and I still don't have it. In six days it will be a month. The system is wishy washy and f*%#ed up.

Mine just went from 6 days remaining to 8 days remaining. This is after it stayed "Awaiting Shipment" for 2 - 3 weeks while the counter went down to 0 and then came back to 14 days again. I was supposed to have it between the 6th and 12th, but the 12th came and went, then it was the 31st, then the 28th, then the 26th where it has been for like a week. Now it's back to the 28th. I'm getting real fed up with the carrot on a stick.

If you read the Additional Disclosures about the ETA, here is what it says:

Estimated Delivery date is a calculated date based on the current status of your vehicle which is compared against the history of vehicles in that status from the scheduling system. It is recalculated each time you access the customer order status website and will change as your order is processed, your vehicle is assembled and shipped.

I didn't. I have been slammed at work and haven't been out looking. I got to see the one at my dealer because he called and told me he'd have it that evening, so I went on the way home. Maybe I'll see the Clovis car on the road, LOL.

Unfortunately that date is just before OK To Buy, so I suspect your car is in the QC Hold lot in Flat Rock. Good news for you is that is Last In First Out, and you were darn near last in.

I tried getting info on this some time ago...

Just not enough M6G tracked orders to really get an idea yet. My ETA is anytime this week. Which would put time from production to delivery around 10-15 days.

I'm also waiting on mine. It's been sitting in "awaiting shipping" for 3-4 days so far. Estimated delivery of 11/4. Fingers crossed it actually gets down here to NC around then and nothing holds it up.
