I feel like the truth is halfway between those renders. The new one looks like the sunny highlight pics and the old one shadow. It more dynamic than either from the videos of broncos.

I hope that EG is still available in a couple of years on the Bronco, by then a person might be able to order one with some realistic expectation of actually getting it....

I agree, passed one last week, and we are going to LOVE this color. It's going to be a nice, deep and dark green when not in the sunlight, and obviously will yellow out a bit in direct sunlight.

It was the only time I've seen the color in person, it looked great. It eased the uncertainty of ordering a color that has never been seen on a car.

Ordered my 2022 GT in Eruption Green on 3/07. Was debating between that and Rapid Red. I found an Eruption Green Bronco on a dealer lot and it looked so much more unique so that's what I went with. Really dynamic color depending on the lighting conditions.

One thing to keep in mind is bronos are Very flat. That means eg only flashes yellow at specific angles. The mustang is much more curvy which means parts will be light and dark all the time. It should look more dynamic.

I really hope that Ford did not change the color by changing the name to Eruption Green Metallic, because this lighter green pictured below looks worse than what I was hoping for.

Ford has changed their rendering color for EG. IIRC it was never listed as metallic before only "Eruption Green", now it says "Eruption Green Metallic".

This change is only showing on "My Ford" order status screen, not on the 2022 Mustang configurator.

You can see the color a couple posts above yours on those Broncos, so you can draw your own conclusions.

I saw it on a Bronco, beautiful color.

Just received notification that my Eruption Green base GT fastback has been scheduled to be built the week of May 2, 2022. I placed the order on January 20, 2022.

Just checked and for Next Week They will be Scheduling Build Dates for the weeks starting with May 2, May 9, May 16 & May 23. Says Clean up scheduling.
So we still have a chance for a May build. Lots of people getting notifications today too.
