No.Will it restart automatically too? Example would be if you're in a traffic jam.
"Start-stop system"
Stop/start systems always turn the engine back on. When you dip the clutch to put it into first on a manual. Not sure about an auto.
people do that?leave their car's running for hours when shopping and such.

This really isn't a stop/start feature though, it's more for safety and in case you accidentally leave your car running w/ your key in the car. I would also assume this can be disabled as in extreme cold climates people leave their car's running for hours when shopping and such.
In extreme cold weather yes. Otherwise you risk towing your vehicle home that night. I'm talking -20 to -30 degree temps w/ -50 deg wind chills. I've seen cars running in walmart parking lots while people shop. They also leave their cars running pumping gas or going into a restaurant to eat. It's actually very common in the cold climates.people do that?
that's dumb.
Yea I was specifically saying it wasn't a stop/start featureThe Mustang isn't getting a stop/start feature. The engine will shut itself off after 30 minutes of idling. A stop/start feature is a system that shuts off the engine and restarts it such as during traffic and sitting at stop lights. That is a feature for saving fuel.

They have the stop/start feature on Merc and Audi here in Germany for a greener environment.
