No he is referring to the ford part numbers for the engines. The are different and the one that says with PP is about $100 more. I found that point interesting as well. Wonder what the differences are.Interior upgrade, mostly suspension pieces, different wheels/brakes and 3:55 gears.
Standard size and oversize on the ringsThere is a difference they list two different pistons and two different sets of piston rings on that parts list. News to me.

Thanks! That's where I saw the difference but I couldn't find the parts brake-down between the 2 to see exactly what is different. How did you see that? There is a difference they list two different pistons and two different sets of piston rings on that parts list. News to me.

Thanks Adam, I don't quite understand. Are you saying the bore size is different between the PP and non and the pistons and rings are just slightly larger for the PP? I though the bore was the same? Actually, didn't someone that can see the detail say the block was the same?Standard size and oversize on the rings
Different grades on the pistons is for different size bores. The difference in size of the pistons is very minor but they need to have multiple sizes based on how the block comes out of machining.
This is standard practice in OEMs. Including Subaru and Nissan.
No, the difference we are talking here are .0001". When a block is machined for ford not all cylinders are exactly the same size. So they have different grade pistons to fill the hole with the correct piston to wall clearance. Thanks Adam, I don't quite understand.
