Here's the million dollar question...... What do you do with an engine where the aluminum is already heavily oxidized?

Aluminum oxidization requires an acid to neutralize are remove it. You can buy specific products for this or use a 50/50 blend of white vinegar and distilled water. Spray on, scrub and rinse away with water to neutralize the acid and stop the reaction.
