After a recent trip to Spain I thought I'd share a few pictures. Got an amazing 22.6mpg over 1400 miles. Mostly A and B roads with some motorway to cover long distances in short time. Got the ferry from Portsmouth to Santander which was a nice experience. Got stopped by customs as soon as we were off the boat to hear "El Mustango, el mustango"! Singed some paper work about money laundering and off we went! The roads are amazing as soon as you're out of the city with even the autopista winding through the mountains, coast and valleys. Made our way to San Sebastian then across the width of Spain talking in some of the best roads I've ever driven on across the Pyrenees. Tunnels, mountains, rivers, lakes and flat plain desserts the Pyrenees has it all! If you're into your road trips this one has to be on the list, highly recommended!! Photos too large to upload so I'll try and downsize them. In the meantime most of them are on my instagram, look for stevesx987!

Sounds like a great trip. I'm looking forward to taking mine from Santander to Mercia in September even more after reading your post

Nice work Steve, found you on Instagram - got some cool pics there!

My missus is from Spain & we talked about a Spanish road trip the other day. That was based on flying there and using her Ibiza though! Now I'm tempted with to take the Stang over :D how did you find driving on the right hand side?

Do it! The ferry is 26 hours but the facilities are good. We had an outside cabin with a porthole and we used the outside sun deck most of the way there. I've driven in France, Germany and Italy loads of times so the right hand side of the road is no problem. In fact you hardly see anyone at all apart from sports cars and bikes in the mountains it was very quiet. Easier to drive in Spain than in England!

Nice post Stevie, brought back some happy memories :).

Done a couple of trips to Spain, same ferry but have also done the Plymouth - Santander one. We once drove from A Coruna to Millau in France via Pamplona and down the Pyrenees, from Leon to Pamplona, we thought we were on a closed road, never saw another car in either direction for about what felt, 200km, so much so we thought that the road wasn't officially open .

Love a good road trip, off to South of France on Saturday, in Priscilla McMustang.

Viva El Mustango!

@Lone_Survivor we stopped for lunch at Pamplona what a great city, and the car sounded good in one of their underground car parks! Was so tempted to do my first line lock!! Have a good trip, sounds like a good one. KevD thanks man. El Mustango was definitely the star of the trip, I didn't see another one for a whole two weeks!
