Eibach springs rubbing

This is for potential interested buyers that want to purchase the eibach springs. I had it on my car for quiet sometimes now and I do like it. The car looks amazing and the ride is very good for driving around town and some spirit driving. I noticed today that going over dips on freeway over 100mph+ the tires rub on the inner fender right where the bumper and fender meet. This only happens with aftermarket wheels. I am currently on R reps from LMR with factory tires. So please keep that in mind. Not a big deal only happens on bigger dips and going fast.

Also,

These springs are not meant for track use. Not enough rate and too low.

The car will look absolutely fantastic with these springs but you will loose around 30% handling on your car over stock springs.

This just recently happened after 2000 miles of driving around with the eibachs. I was going around 100 and hit a dip and heard a rubbing noise.

I did call eibach and they told me these springs were made to work with factory wheels.

Also my front camber is set to -1.2

So maybe more camber will help with the rubbing.

The handling thing is kinda worrisome. And this is why I didn't want to touch anything related to the shock and spring system. Are you going to swap them back?

I am keeping the spring and will avoid the dip from now on. The car looks too good .

That doesn't seem too far off although I don't know the backspace of the stock rims. Seems to me like it should fit.

You're running a 35 sidewall tire instead of a 30? Maybe it's the sidewall height.

Yes 35 is factory size. Running 30 series would put more gap and no point of lowering it on the eibachs.


Also the rates are not more than factory it is the same.

Comparing it to a mustang springs that are

170 for pp
And over 300lbs on the eibachs.


The rates should of been higher to prevent it from bottoming out. Lowering the car 1 inch and giving it same rate is not ideal at all.
