Nice video Stangbro, well made and i am in agreement the exhaust on these cars is impressive… i start work at 6 and every morning at 530 that startup roar makes my day begin with a smile…

Impossible to overestimate how much the sound contributes to the overall joy of these cars. Ford knows it too. I swear my ‘24 GT (with AVE of course) is even louder than similar ‘23 and back cars. I don’t know how Ford manages to keep getting away with it but I’m glad they do. It’s a big deal IMO.

The Mustang V8's have always had a unique and very pleasing roar.

Yes... I think the S550 is the best of a long line of Mustangs. The one I have now is my third Mustang and I've loved them all.

My friends can never help but smile when they here it coming, going or just plain roaring...

Impossible to overestimate how much the sound contributes to the overall joy of these cars. Ford knows it too. I swear my ‘24 GT (with AVE of course) is even louder than similar ‘23 and back cars. I don’t know how Ford manages to keep getting away with it but I’m glad they do. It’s a big deal IMO.

My understanding when it comes to exhaust volume and noise standards is it’s a total sound volume from all parts of the car that manufacturers have to meet. So, if they quiet down engine or induction noise by a few db, they can increase exhaust volume by that same amount and still be compliant. I have no idea if that’s actually true but I’ve heard that before (maybe on one of the Leno’s Garage episodes with one of the Shelby’s?).

So as it relates to your S650, it’s entirely possible they quieted down other components and increased exhaust volume a few db. I’ve driven a few and I can’t tell the difference but I do also have a resonator delete (h pipe) on my car, so I’m a bit louder than stock anyway.

I’ve noticed that on some newer ICE cars the tire noise on the road seems louder than the engine noise. it’s that way on EVs for sure.

Yeah and I think that factors into it too, as far as overall noise/sound. The EV tires are quite loud, I’ve noticed that in the few that I’ve been in.

Mustang's unique & hair-raising roar definitely hooked me up in getting the last available Stang in the showroom.

I always rev when passing thru any underpasses to get that ecstatic feeling.

on it's unique & pleasing roar, 'coz that's what drew me closer and in love with this marvelous creation.

Personally, S550 will always remain the best design, & seeing the Gen7 looks disappointing to me. I feel it's a different car. But that's alright, the GTD looks killer!
