Ah okay. I forgot about the 12.1 run. What power were they making with that run?
Yea I'm fuzzy myself on what numbers they were making on that run. I feel pretty confident I could hit 12s as my car is now but I want something for the wheel hop first

I watched the tune only 12.6 again for the 10th time probably. Very impressive and what i want out of the car. However iam confused on the dyno graph at the end.327hp-427tq. But when I look at the dyno for the tune it's 317-359? So Livernois what's the car run on the 317-359 tune, the tune i'll actually get? From another thread per you 327/427 isn't safe to run for a dd.So those numbers arent what ill get.Not busting your balls just curious:shrug:
That seems to be the trend these days.

I've asked about that before too, but I don't remember the answer. I actually posted the graphs and asked, but point blank so everyone is clear:

If we order the 93 tune straight from the website, do we get 317/359 or 327/427?

If the website 93 tune is the 317/359, then where did the 327/427 come from?

Is the 327/427 the race gas tune? It would seem so, but let's just lay it all out so it's clear moving forward.
I think i remember reading they said that the 12.6 pass was the 327/427 tune with drag radials and race fuel. They stated that tune would never see a customer car.
The 12.6 tune is the graph that is posted on our site. The 12.6 tune is readily available to anyone who has mods to support that tune. We actually have had a client on this forum who has posted his times of 12.81 and 12.8 on 91. The reason why there is confusion is because instead of simply asking the source we get misquoted.

The 327/427 tune is our race gas and slick setup, which nobody is getting because it is not meant for a daily driver as we have said several times. Because as you have seen for yourself, the internals cannot handle a load of that nature. That tune was on our car for the 12.1 and 11.8 runs.

What kind of times are you seeing with the daily driver safe tunes? Guessing since I don't have a performance pack I'm going to want to upgrade the differential gear sometime soon. The tune and possibly cold air intake then Possibly the tires.

Holy crap :) I'm thinking the rear gear is a must on a non-performance pack car. Other pp upgrades are tires, lower suspension and breaks. I'm not planning on taking mine to the track just want to "open i up" and have a bit more fun without putting too much stress on the internals.

We have seen times ranging from 12.9-13.1 obviously there are several factors at play.

Wow right around 13 would be amazing!!
Several companies are offering tunes that will produce high 12's low 13's, myself included. The key is which features you would like with a tuner and customer service from the vendor.

I choose to tune and sell Cobb as they have more features and flexibility than any other offering I have seen.

I'm looking for a company that will update my tune as I get new bolt on Mods. I had Bama on my 2006 and they offered free updates as long as I owned the car. I also want to get good gains without putting too much stress on my internals as this will be on my daily driver and not used on a track. When I got the tune on my 2006 it was night and day different and that seems to be even more the case with the ecoboost. What other features can I get with a tune from cobb vs one from say sct? Seems lots has changed since I last did this.

We appreciate your support and thank you for visiting our COBB retail facilities! Though we have not directly supported the Honda market since 2010, we employ calibrators that are trained and experienced with several non-COBB tuning software suites to accommodate just about any customer that walks in the door. However, for all vehicles that we do support, we use our own tuning software, Accesstuner, to create calibrations. We pioneered and developed our Accesstuner software in-house from scratch in 2005 and continue to refine and expand its capabilities to grow with each and every market.

Accesstuner software is available to all of our customers, retail facilities, and our expansive Protuner network. This type of empowerment allows all COBB customers the flexibility to adjust, monitor, and datalog their vehicle calibrations to suit any upgrade path, fuel quality, and vehicle variance. Accesstuner has never been a 3rd party product.

Additionally, we develop high quality hard parts such as intakes, exhaust systems, intercoolers, and more! We also design our own top of the line hand held tuning device, the Accessport, now in its third generation. The Accessport runs on 100% custom firmware that we created from scratch in-house as well. This allows us to rapidly deploy new features and calibrations via simple-to-do firmware updates.

Speaking of calibrations, we own several R&D vehicles that spend the majority of their life having their limits found, tested, and exceeded on our load bearing Mustang dyno. We thoroughly test each of our hard parts on the dyno to determine which combination offers our customers the most bang for their buck. We develop and provide Off-The-Shelf (OTS) maps for these combinations to extract reliable and consistent power. If a customer wants to push their car further or toss on parts outside of these specifications we refer you back to the paragraphs regarding Accesstuner software.

My name is Braden, and I am the R&D Calibrator for the Ford platform here at COBB. I am responsible for reverse engineering the engine and transmission controllers for our EcoBoost software. I create the COBB EcoBoost tuning software. I create the Off-The-Shelf calibrations for these vehicles. I have written the custom features such as 5-way map switching, Launch Control, Flat-Foot-Shifting, Burnout Mode, along with several upcoming bits of awesomeness. Sitting near me is Alex, our software/firmware engineer for the Ford platform. Together, we are responsible for the creation and ongoing improvement of this amazing EcoBoost platform. We love what we do, and strive to give our customers the most comprehensive tuning solution on the planet for their EcoBoost powered vehicles!

TL-DR; As we said previously, we make our own software, hardware, and calibrations.

Cheers,
-Braden & Alex @ COBB

You are choosing to take what I said out of context. I said that they are the hardware provider, not the source of the software and that was challenged. So please quote accurately, thank you. ;-) The parsing and bickering is insane....
What is insane is you as a company/vendor coming on to this and numerous other boards and making claim after claim of power, tunes, etc and will not back them up at all when questioned; I have seen Mishimoto, MAP, JJ@WMS, Jersey Devil and others be asked questions and provide technical answers about their products and services whereas you only give vague, non technical answers but still claiming to be the best with whatever it is....it gets really old in a hurry and does not instill confidence in you nor your products at all, especially to those of us who have been around cars/mustangs for some time and can smell bullshit when it is being spewed.

Not to mention when they are wrong they don't admit it, they just ignore it when people call them out, change the subject, or try and confuse the situation.

Ya tis the problem of using message boards I guess. In this case I wanted to ask based on a path I plan to take to upgrade my car. Also with such a new engine tunes are getting better over time so I want current data. Yes I could have searched to get an idea but when spending this kind of money and taking a chance with mods I want to ask in my own thread. Nice thing about a computer is when things like this bother you you can simply leave or scroll by :)
