Hey guys, just thought I'd let you know what I was told last week:
I went and test drove an '11 GT500 with "700" hp as i was told. Thing was super fast, loud and awesome. I told my Ford guy though that it might be too much car for my first sports car. He told me he'd give me a call when the '15 Mustangs show up and make me drive both the Ecoboost and GT's. He loved the Ecoboost, having just came back from a training session with one. He said he was told that Ford will be releasing a warranty approved tune to give it "400 plus horsepower, don't ask about the torque".

TL;DR Ford Racing Tune for Ecoboost bringing it up to 400+ hp.

Even 400hp at the flywheel is going to be a bit of a stretch. I do believe FRPP will release a warranty approved tune, but it will then be an FRPP drivetrain warranty, and not the original Ford warranty

I'm sceptical too. I think he was just telling me shit to try and get me to buy new Haha. I can see the time pumping about 400 torque. With a time on the 3.5 ecoboost it jumps it up a hundred torque.

Yeah, I agree on the tq. Even the freakin' 1.6L ecoboost in the Fiesta ST is a TORQUE MONSTER with a tune. Hp? Eh, it's there. But it's no monster.
