Is anyone else running a catless dp on the ecoboost?

I just installed the mishimoto Catless downpipe.

AFR after Cobb stage 2 tune seem to be fine for the most part.

13.8-14.2

But I have seen a lot lower numbers when flooring.

Without the DP I would see 11s on the AFR.

With the DP I see 10s now.

I was wondering if anyone else is seeing numbers this low?

Contact COBB, let them deal with it.

I did contact them. Of course they said they don't tune or deal with catless anything because of emissions and boost creep.

So with that being said I most likely need a pro tune instead of the cobb tune. Im using the Accessport v3.

I was just curious to see if anyone else had some whacky AFR ratios or anything with a catless Dp

You mean “free flowing” down pipe? *wink wink*

stage 1/2 are for STOCK downpipes
stage 3 is for a CATTED downpipe-200 cell.
stage 4 would be for a full free catless downpipe if they made one

stage 3 is the closest (more flow than stock) tune.
you need to run minimal stage 3.

I was just reading another thread on here talking about running stage 3.

Can you shine some light on what the different stages actually do?
Does it increase how much fuel is added or does it just make the map more aggressive?

stage 1 is just a drop in filter
stage 2 is filter+intercooler upgrade
stage 3 is filter+intercooler+catted downpipe (200 cell) oem is 400 cell, so aftermarket catted downpipe is double the flow. catles downpipe is 0 cell.

you need stage 3. clearly it is to push the power a little more each stage. 3rd stage is optimal because more flow out of engine, due to catted/better DP. but you are hatless, should run protune or stage 3.

run stage 3. you are catless downpipe.

stage 3 is designed for a higher flowing downpipe, there is zero reason to be on 1/2

atleast 3 has some design for increase in flow. thats all I can recommend, I wouldn't recommend a catted or catless downpipe on anything less than stage 3,

Ah okay.
I thought DP was around stage 2.
I thought full bolt on was stage 3.
Thanks a lot!
I'll retune after work and see how she acts.

I appreciate all the info. I knew something didn't seem right.
After stage 2 and new dp I didn't really feel a power increase by much.

Hopefully stage 3 after the ecu learning it will feel a lot better.

you may not really feel it, but you will know its allowing proper gasses to escape the car.

lets use math,

tune 1/2 is for a 400 cell cat.
tune 3 is for 200 cell cat
you are 0 cell catless. (0 being free flow)

tune 3 isn't even perfect, but it'll be be dialed in closer than 1/2 for your car and probably be just fine overall

that SAID. people run hatless downpipe on stock tune (tune for 400) all the time, it works, but it'll run better with a closer tune designed for the proper flow. it won't have to compensate fueling as much, putting it better in ballpark. allowing trims to work less and be a little better overall

Makes sense.
It didn't feel weaker I suppose. It just didn't feel 100%
Like the afr wasn't correct under load so it took to much time to pull.
An when it did pull it didn't feel smooth like it did when I had oem dp on.
