The intercoolers on these cars are awful. So getting a good one is crucial. I went MAP. As for gains. I've seen gains as soon as I started modding the car with a C&L CAI. Ok stage 1. My 0-60 times improved a lot. Intercooler I saw some pretty good gains as well in hp and tq. And with the...
Yeah. It's possible. But for the original poster of the thread he doesn't have any exhaust upgrades. Just intercooler and I think CAI or drop in. So it makes sense that stage 2 isn't doing great for him because of the mods he has. I ran stage 1 until I got my DP. I had the same mods as he does.
I have the 3" and then the adapter going into the stock Y exhaust. So it's not 3" all the way back. Just the DP. The DP has no restriction but the stock exhaust does.
My main problem with stage 3 was not reaching peak boost. I'd get 18-20lbs peak. Which is rough. Compared to 24.5 or higher...
I mean they make these tune for their bolt ons. Not a mixture of CAIs Downpipes or exhausts. They also don't tune for downpipes anymore since the update. I'm running catless downpipe and since I went stage 2 there has been a huge increase in my cars performance. Compared to Cobbs recommendation...
According to an ecoboost pro tuner stage 2 is Cai or Oem with drop in. Downpipe and intercooler. You can have exhaust as well. He said stage 3 is for going beyond full bolt on. Like bigger injectors. Turbo upgrade. Etc. I remember I tried Stage 3 with my dp and I wasn't even pulling close to my...
Im using the cobb stage 2. At first I wasn't happy because I didn't understand it but after talking to a tuner I figure it out.
I have:
Mishimoto 3" catless dp
C&L CAI
MAP intercooler
Cobb stage 2
Before they changed the maps at Cobb because of the stupid emissions regulation it stated that...
I'm using a Steeda BOV adapter. It was pretty cheap. Like 60$ and I've had a ton of compliments on it. I considered going a "real" bov but for 150-200$ I feel like it wasn't worth it. I'm really satisfied with my bov adapter. I can post a sound clip later if you wanna hear it. Or just google it...
Hey man. I've been driving my modded 15 EB for 3 years and my brother has a 15 Gt and from what we have both agreed on is that these cars tend to make odd noises from the dash. No idea why. Mine has always done it and it's sporadic. It happens at random. I never really looked into it because I...
Originally I had like 1/4" showing on the top and like 1/8" on the bottom if that.
Now it's even. The only difference is your turbo gasket looks way better than mine. Mine is like a bronze color almost. Probably because it's so used and beat up.
Yeah when I first put my new intercooler on I blew one of mine several times until I got it just right lmao. I've triple checked all the hoses and clamps. It was the first thing I did. That's what led to believe the DP wasn't seated right. Since the problem had started with the new DP.
I just...

I'll see If they have them in stock. They seem good. Either way I hope this makes the car run better or at least give me signs of where to go. Ie. A boost leak or something. But I honestly don't think it's a boost leak.
I may try those in the future but I know I can get some oem right down the street and I'd like to troubleshoot this quickly as I can. Probably by tomorrow evening.
I think I'll swap to fresh plugs and then do the KAM at the same time.
If I still don't see boost levels correct after a couple of days I'll swap to s2 and see if there's a leak
Yeah I know what your talking about I'm always checking for read codes and what not. Cool. Do I just use the command and it will prompt me to do what I need to?
I think I saw something that said KAM under the mapping area on the AP. I didn't mess with it though because I didn't know what is was supposed to do. I'll check after work.
I he
I get what your saying about a leak but every other stage reached peak boost and I didn't change anything. I didn't mess with the turbo or anything. I just reseated the downpipe. But before and after reseating the DP I wasn't reaching over 20lbs on stage 3
