yes they just updated them without changing the link or updating anything lol. they gave me my money back after i sent back the 1st set.

Did you need to dremel the updated version or did they change that too?

i put mine in my map lights but it required some finagaling lol. they should fit everywhere except as vanity though.

Yea I put it in the maps and the trunk. Haven't driven with them, but so far it was extremely easy install, and they look GREAT!

We'll see how they last for the first spirited driving.

However, i cant get the small 194/T10 LEDs to find in the map lights. The casing for the lights are too big.

Any word from Diode Dynamics on when/if the fixed switchback lights will be coming back in stock? Been waiting on these for a good minute now and can't wait to order them.

Seems like yours are still holding up well from eBay. Might go down the same route unless there's an ETA from DD. Looks nice man.

Hmm, not sure. For me, I just want to get it over with. It seems like yours is working just as great and have been for quite some time now.

Can someone explain how the switchback works? I'm explaining it:

In EU model we don't have the turning lights always on with the parking lights. Our turning lights works as 'normal' lights so will be on only when turning (blinking).
Since we (or at least I) like the US behaviour, i.e. turning lights always on both with parking lights, and then blinking when turning, we need to do some wiring mod and a switchback light bulb.

Things I need to know is, have these turning lights three contacts (like negative, positive white and positive amber) and the car sends separate signal for parking and turning signal, or only two (negative and positive) and when the turning signal reaches the bulb, the bulb itself change behaviour and starts blinking in amber?

In first case I can use the + wire from the parking light to power the 'steady' white led of the switchback to have it on with parking light. Then, when turning, the regular + wire from turning signal will make the amber led of the switchback blinks.

Thanks, so I can't use that bulbs - I have to find a type with + + - since I can't replicate steady and blinking power on the same wire.

thanks. i was able to get those lights in the map light housing.

FYI to others, dont let the LED bulb fall in to the housing without attaching it to the socket first. I spend like 15mins trying to fish it out after I dropped it in there when doing a test fit. Finally i just broke the LED bulb inside the housing and got the pieces out separately.

Never saw a response to this, do the revised ones still require trimming to click into the sockets.

Tried checking original link for the new updated bulbs. Dosnt seem the seller selsl them anymore.
