Hello.

I am interested in running Nitrous on my car. I am Planning to run 100-150 Shots.

With E85 on the car, do I need to make any modifications to the Fuel System (Injectors, Voltage Booster, etc.) For this? Or is the stock fuel system capable of handling the increased demand?

You will jet the nitrous system with the appropriate jets for E85. A boost-a-pump is also a very good idea. Aside from that, I can confirm that the factory fuel system is adequate for a 150 shot.

When you tune for nitrous, your tuner will likely start you out on a 100 shot (this of course, is after your E85 tune has been dialed in). Once the tuner is satisfied with the logs from your 100 shot, he will give you the green light to proceed on to the 150 shot (jetting change required), check the logs and let you know when tuning is complete and you’re all ready to go.

Note: I recommend using E85 with an ethanol content of 85% or higher on nitrous, as an extra margin of safety. This will require actual testing, whether you buy it at the pump or by the pail. When I tuned mine, I ordered six 5 gal. pails and specifically used them for tuning the car on nitrous.

The tune is everything on nitrous. Beautiful thing about E is that like stated all you’ll need is a boost a pump. I used nitrous express plate kit for years with absolutely 0 issues. Also bottle warmers are definitely a must to keep correct pressure and also an auto bottle opener is is a good thing to have. Good luck

Edit: before I forget if you go to a 200+ shot use a progressive controller set up. It will build power and you won’t blow the tires out of the hole.

On point brother. I had a tune, wet kit, step colder plugs, suspension, bottle opener and warmer. Never did get the window switch but I used the nitrous 3,200 rom to about 6k rpm only too

I wish there were more nitrous S550 cars on here. We need to expand the information base on it.

Nitrous is absolutely a beast! The instant torque is something to smile every time it hits! I just got tired filling up because I used it a lot hehe

1 step colder is definitely the way to go for a safe hit. šŸ‘šŸ¼

Honestly the ones I’ve seen online and I’m thinking it’s driver error but they get their lunch eaten. I’m almost positive that these engines will fair better with a 200+ shot. Man now I’m getting the itch šŸ˜‚

OP make sure you get bigger injectors go with a minimum of 42lb injectors even with the DI make sure you have enough fuel. You don’t want to go lean and weld those pistons to your block.

200 is a decent size shot. I didn’t feel comfortable going beyond 150 on mine. I know several are running 200, but I didn't want to run mine on the ragged edge.

Man with these engines being able hold an easy 700whp sealed I’m positive that a they’ll handle a 200 hit just fine.

Edit: I definitely wouldn’t do anything more than 200 on a plate. I’d have the manifold plumed and go with a direct hit above that.
