Hi,

Just took delivery of this beauty yesterday:

Anyhow, I'm noticing that the e-brake handle seems to have really short travel and requires a lot of effort to get it up to set the brake. Nothing at all like my last S550 Mustang. I'm guessing that it was just not adjusted properly at the factory? At this point, seems like a very minor issue, can probably wait until I take it in for the dealer for something else to address it. Just wondering if anyone has any additional insight into the problem...

Thanks

If you crawl under the car, to the left of the stock resonator is a 10mm nut you can adjust using a deep socket, which adjusts the handbrake cable. My handbrake needed tons of clicks from the factory to engage, but I adjusted it so it takes about 3-4 clicks to fully engage.

Is this normal?

Just wondering if this would be considered normal. This is the left rear rotor. The right rear rotor looks similar:

It looks like there's some scoring, however if I run my finger over it, it feels smooth. The front rotors don't look like this.

Also wondering how the e-brake actually engages in our cars. I know that with rear drums, the e-brake gets its own brake pads :p Doesn't appear to be the case with our rear disks.

The car only has 110 miles as of this morning. I'm beginning to wonder if the e-brake might might not be fully disengaging...

That is not a problem at all, why would you want to have a higher e brake engagement point? It will go up as the rear pads wear out.

I would leave it alone, as long as it fully disengages upon release.
