Any difference with the amount of fuel on board? Full tank is about a hundred pounds.Well I think I might have added some power to my 6
6.0 is with OEM mufflers. 5.5 is with my custom exhaust. Around the same conditions for both runs.
Fuel levels for each run were pretty similar. I would say if anything about .1 sec can be attributed to differing fuel weight. Temperatures for each run were in the low 40's and both were conducted on the same stretch of pavement.Any difference with the amount of fuel on board? Full tank is about a hundred pounds.
Can you measure the dB in car at 70 mph? They're not the best, but there's plenty of noise level apps available. I often do longer (4+ hr) drives for work and such and I don't want it so loud that it becomes taxing. The stock exhaust is pretty much silent at highway speed. It'd probably be different, but for relative comparison sake, C&D tested a Ecoboost with PP at ~ 73 dB @ 70 mph. This is one of the reasons CAIs on NA cars are great - they sound louder and more aggressive when you get on it, no difference at all when you don't. Looking forward to one coming from Airaid and others.Overall noise is only a mild increase over the stock exhaust. I would describe it as a more aggressive stock exhaust note. As long as the resonator tube is the right length someone could mistake my exhaust for the stock exhaust at highway speeds.

Is it sad that I actually thought about this as an option? :headbonk:Another way to solve exhaust drone is to install some subs and drone the drone out lmfao

It was raining here today in Maryland so I will hopefully be recording some dB levels tomorrow.
These were taken this morning on my way to work. Like you said these apps are not the greatest so these readings might be alittle off from true dB levels. I decided to follow StainlessWorks method in order to compare to their EB and GT exhaust. Can you measure the dB in car at 70 mph?
