I think the SW headers are great the sound is amazing. As far as issues go there are two that I would point out. Well one of them isn't really an issue it's just a pain.

1. Installing the headers on the driver side was a breeze, however the passenger side is a pain in the a**. Firstly getting the header in there was annoying and secondly the last stud/nut towards the front of the car on the top or bottom I forgot exactly which one is insanely hard to get to. That last stud/nut took a long time to get out and in lol.

2. The fitment on the passenger side is kinda sketchy I feel like it's really close to the frame. Haven't heard any noise or tapping from it hitting the frame while driving yet. Going to put it up in the air sometime just to check clearance again.

Haha my brother is the same way he's 23 and he's on his 4th car already. Possibly even selling and getting #5 lol. I would highly suggest investing in a catback :D
Wow thats some great info thank you so much. That is the stuff I needed to know, most won't post it up. Thanks for the heads up on issues I may have..
Lol at your brother. Luckily my fiancé tries to keep me in check with keeping or selling cars.

They secretly probably want everyone to feel their pain haha. Anytime man, if you need any more info regarding the install process let me know. Oh and a heads up before you install the headers do make sure that SW sent you the 02 wire extensions because I ended up without extensions and thought it wasn't included in the kit until someone on the forums told me it is part of the kit. I ended up rewiring the original 02 and started getting a CEL for low voltage from the 02 after a couple of hundred miles of driving. Called SW told them to send me the extensions and then ordered a new 02. Such a pain :frusty:!!

Lol that's awesome sometimes you need that support to help you spend wisely. Well my brother is getting married this summer so his wifey will be keeping him in check haha.

Haha that could be true to some point. Hmm that sucks man, I'm glad they made the situation right after you found out. Hopefully your brother does slow down so he doesn't blow tons of money on selling cars like I did in the past 14 years lol.
Thanks again man.

Decided to get a custom tune this past weekend. Had the car on the dyno for a full day trying to do whatever we could to get more power out of the car. We advanced the cam, and also retarted the cam, added timing and pulled timing and we couldn't find a sweet spot for this engine that showed a lot of power gain. I started out with 412/390 with a Bama tune when I put the long tubes on without cats and CAI. I decided to get a JLT intake and did a couple data logs with Bama and when I got to the dyno we did 2 baseline runs. Car did 405/389 with the Bama tune which surprised me with the JLT intake. I thought I would get a few more. Well after we did a custom tune, the best I could get is 425/390 @ 6200' above sea level.

Type of engine: 5.0L V8

Type of Dyno: Dynojet @6200' above sea level

RWHP: 425

RWTQ: 390

Mods: SW Long Tubes, Gibson Catback, JLT CAI, Custom Tune.
