looks like I can do 134mph in 4th if I wind it to 7600. Ill be surprised to trap higher than that but who knows.

If this car were lighter, I might feel the same about 140+, but its gotta be what, 3900-3950# with the blower and all this stuff?

This isnt like a turbo car where I hit 800+ and hold it until it comes down, I only hit peak power at redline.
Let me know when your heading to the track and I'll bring some friendly competition. Added the trailer mod so I can hit some other tracks this year :ford:

I am, haha. My setup was tuned by the same people at the time. A Lund tuned 800whp setup is gonna move out, just going to depend on your ability to extract it. I have an auto, no Kung fu required, just stall it and mash it.

How much experience do you have at the strip? I'd highly recommend a bias ply stiff wall slick with your setup, preferably something close to 29", which buys you 143mph/7750rpms with your 3.55's. hope you have some gforce/dss axles, good luck!
I generally go once or twice a year. I can shift the cars well. If I need work on something, it's the 60' since my cars are too powerful to practice on unprepared surfaces. The 1-2 shift during full throttle usually takes me a few runs to hone in every time I go since that's another thing I never get to do much of under full throttle.

Awesome numbers! Details on fuel system? I'll be upgrading mine at some point in the near future.
I will get it locked in and post up about it soon, or I will have a vendor do it.

The run was exactly 15hp less with SAE correction. I like to run the same dyno and correction that the rest of the forum is using so that I can compare results with similar cars.

Impressions with the RXT, like engagement and chatter if any?
It's all excellent. I can make it chatter some times but really only struggle with that in reverse for whatever reason.

If I had to make a complaint, I wish the pedal wasn't so vague. I struggle to drive the car smooth because I just can't seem to get in a groove with the pedal height Vs engagement feel.

So far at this point, if I had to buy another clutch, I would get another RXT.

As for the traps, I am just trying to be realistic. If I can run 140s, I will be happy. I haven't been able to feel what it pulls like yet due to weather. But today it's dry and 40 degrees.. So in roughly 2 hours when I take a break and take the mustang out for mid-day cruise... When I get back, I might have different feelings to post about my estimated trap.

I'm thinking I might need to toss on the race stars and MTs/skinnies to even get to feel it out.. But I'm going to try and save those for first track day.

UPDATE 5/13/2016: Yesterday Lund sent me an updated calibration. I guess they have made some overall changes to their Whipple tunes that apply to everyone regardless of their custom mapping.

I had to come back and post about it. It is..

UNREAL! :headbang:, it is :first:

Anybody running a Lund tune for their Whipple, needs to ask Lund for the updated calibration. I dont know if its called the "R7" or if that's just what the file was called for my personal car... whatever it is, GET IT!

This car drives amazing. You know its funny because I would have already said the previous tune drove really well. But then you experience an upgrade like this and it totally changes your perspective on the car. The tune now feels entirely factory quality. Literally you could not distinguish that this car is aftermarket tuned other than the ridiculous power it makes. The only problem with this tune is that its going to be really hard to focus on work when I just want to go drive.

Last night I drove this car for over 5 hours straight with no break. It is pure awesomeness and its got me really excited. Its only 1230pm here and I am so tempted to just walk out of work and go hunting. :clap2:

My overall experience with Lund Tuning, has been top-notch. Some of you that follow my project know that I am pretty critical with my expectations and that I am the first to whine about anything I am not happy with. Lund and Whipple have both been 2 of the most positive experiences in this industry I have had. And even though its off topic, as an honorable mention I want to say that I am thrilled with everything I have bought from BMR... my IRS has gone from pathetic and disappointing to predictable and positive.

You liking the new calibration? Jon and I were just talking about how you can go 3/4 throttle to redline with no surging lol

We got the Paxton feeling the same way now...these new tunes make the pedal feel so deep and smooth
