I was just installing my DSS shaft that I got last year in my 2016 gt 6 speed. Thought I would check the DSS web site to see if there was any changes to the install, this warning new?

WARNING: Rear Subframe/Cradle Lock-out kit MUST BE INSTALLED on the vehicle PRIOR to installing a Driveshaft Shop 1-Piece Driveshaft. Any damage to the driveshaft (or any subsequent damage) caused by failing to properly reinforce the rear cradle and limit movement will VOID ANY AND ALL WARRANTY provided by The Driveshaft Shop.

I do have a BMR lockout kit here to install, So I can do it now while I am under there,

Very interesting. Seems that would only aggravate the vibration most get with DSS anyways, creating even more unhappy customers, LOL.

It’s an excuse for poor build tolerances and strength under average conditions. The cradle movement isn’t significant enough to ever cause a CVA/U-joint to bind.

I just had a DSS aluminum put on my 22’ GT bracket car. We’ve made about 20 passes with it so far with no issues. I run the Kelltrac IRS kit.

I think most of the DSS issues seems to be with their carbon shaft. I had one. Vibrated. Very tiny amount. Almost didn’t notice it until after I swapped it out. Then I was amazed at what I had tolerated. I agree with @Cory S , but seems to me, locking down the cradle would only entensify what gets transmitted to the frame instead of trying to band-aid it.

Do you think it's really needed then? I have a 2017 with a DSS aluminum driveshaft on the way and I do NOT have any suspension mods. No lockouts no braces. Just stock performance pack setup. I don't plan to add lockouts but DSS claims it will damage their drives and without it but not a single other brand of driveshaft has said this so am I fine to run it without lockouts or braces?
