I'm having paint work done which involves first removing the front bumper cover (which I assume would include the splitter) and black trunk panel.

I can find instructions to remove them but am wondering if the car can be safely driven with the bumper and deck panel off. Just from home to the paint shop in daylight.

Arizona allows hand turn signals, so it would be legal to drive without those in front. Just wondering if other parts would fall off or get damaged driving with those parts off the car.

Yeah, you will be fine. Although, you may become a meme if you are caught with a Camaro owner's flip phone camera.

I think you'd be fine driving just a short distance and there really wouldn't be any concerns unless you decide to go on a road covered in debris that can be kicked up at your car or if there is a lot of inclement weather.

Couple years back at Mustang Week a guy was cruising his '15 with a missing front bumper and right fender.

If you're going a short distance you should be fine. You may want to tape up the electrical connectors to the blinkers and fog lights though so they arent just flapping around in the wind or get wet from a possible puddle.

If you have a stock intake I would clean out the intake box afterwards though since the inlet will be directly exposed and some dirt might get sucked up in there. (It will be blocked by the filter, wont go in the motor so you'll be fine. I would just clean that crap out of the box afterwards if there is any.)

Make sure to tie off your inner fenders. I forgot to and it ate a hole in them.

These are the kind of things that make me think about removing the cover at the paint shop. They have space for me to do that. But the other side of the coin from things like you mention is not having some tool I need because its sitting in my tool cabinets at home. Its not unheard of for a how to thread or videos from vendors not mentioning one, not to mention for me to just forget to bring it ;).
