I just installed my DSS CF drive shaft on my 18 in preparation for the Whipple .After breaking our drivers side halfshaft with just drag radials we ended up going with the DSS 2000hp series axles and their CF driveshaft. Since then we've beaten on the car with peace of mind.
If you're going to do the axles you might as well do the driveshaft and loop while you're at it especially on a Whipple setup.
Let us know if there's anything we can help you with.
Always make sure to check the driveshaft by shaking it before installation.
The car now has a bad drive line vibration over 80 mph . I have been in touch with DSS about it . The measured CV gap (is 3.75 inches andwithin the spec although they say they would have preferred to see it in the 3.5 range .
They want me to check the cars CV gap again but not sure how that's going to help since there is no way to adjust the drive shaft . They did say possibly a "a thicker transmission plate" may help but at this point i am thinking of just putting the stock one back (after the measurement ) so I can at least drive the car .
