My drivers seat cushion feels like it broken and I am sinking into the seat. Pretty uncomfortable. I sit in the passengers seat and it feels normal and supportive. I am about to bring it to the dealer but I am wondering if anyone else has had this issue and what was the problem/solution. It's a 2016 with leather, heated/cooled seats.

I bought an extended warranty so I am hoping it is covered.

Mine did it too. I took it to an upholstery shop and 100 dollars later it was fixed

Did you have the upholsterer install a new cushion?

Check under the seat for broken welds. It might not be the upholstery. Hopefully your extended warranty will cover it.

Just for info, I weigh 200 lbs so I think it should support me without breaking

Bad welds can fail with a lot less weight. I'm just saying the foam or seat cover isn't what supports your body, the structure under it does.

On mine the seat cushion broke down. The shop repaired it.

Well I had the Ford dealer look at the seat. They said it was the cushion and also that cushions are not covered by warranty. Estimated at $1500 to repair. I will buy a cushion and get it repaired elsewhere.

Have a look at this thread :

https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/repairing-worn-out-flattened-recaros.169014/

One guy paid $140 for a GT350 Recaro base cushion and fitting them yourself is a little time consuming, but quite easy.

Myself and a few others have had the seat base apart for replacing covers etc. I did mine as part of a warranty claim when my car was less than a year old.

LMR have some great videos on YouTube that guide you through the seat removal and cover removal - its not as daunting as it sounds.

Plenty of help on these forums if you want to go the DIY route - just shout up :like:
