Driver headlight flickering, not turning on sometimes?

Hey guys,

My drive side headlamp (15 gt premium) only comes on sometimes. Sometimes it will flicker a few times then come on. My passenger light has no issues and works as normal. Any idea what might cause this or how to troubleshoot it?

I think ballast or lamp? Each are $250, so if i could find a way to properly t-shoot this it would be really helpful.

Swap the R & L bulbs and see what happens then. (free)
