Agreed as a great friend of mine in Georgia bought a 2015 R model (#16) just this last January and it was still on the MSO and never titled.Warranty is based on initial vehicle in-service date, NOT production date or model year. Sometimes these cars can sit for a while before purchase. Ask a dealer to run your VIN to find out what that date is.
He finally titled his car in March therefore his factory 3 year bumper to bumper and 5 year power train warranty just started this Spring and will extend through 2026.
@IceAge, terrific looking car and great find.
Call any Ford dealership and ask them to run an Oasis Report on your car after which time that report will tell you the exact day that your car was born, any warranty work that may have been done on it and most importantly the in service date as to when your 5 year power train warranty launched and when it expires.
With your car being a Tech Pack car your cooling issues should be just fine on the street but if you plan on tracking this car then you need to add some coolers to the engine, tranny and differential.
I have driven my 2015 Tech Pack car very hard on the backroads of the desert and in some extreme heat and personally have yet it go into limp mode but understand that a very few others have experienced limp mode on the street.
As one other member mentioned I agree with his assessment that the 2015 and 2016 engines seem to have done very well from an oil consumption or any other issues for that matter.
Great find and I know that you will have a terrific time with your new ride!
