I just installed my cvf down pipe. (Used) i think im missing that correct size exhausts pipe clamp they connect the mid pipe to down pipe. Does anyone know the correct diameter. As of now im using one of my old clamps from my GT exhaust but i think this application needs a step clamp.

The mid pipe is 2.25" in diameter and the CVFab DP can be bought with either the elbow with a reduced end that is the same 2.25" as the mid pipe or with the elbow that is 3" at both ends. So, if the used DP you bought has the 3' elbow you need to buy the elbow that has the one end reduced to 2.25"' from CVFab since it can be purchased separately and that would be the easiest solution.

Or you can have a muffler shop fab up an elbow that is reduced to fit the mid pipe, but it will not be a mandrel bend like the CVFab pipe is.

Pretty sure OP's running an aftermarket hatchback. 🤷‍♂️ If so, we need more info.

His signature shows a 2020 HPP eco so where are you getting a hatchback from this post.

Do you mean aftermarket catback DP, if not still have no idea where the hatchback is coming from. The link you posted above is dyno runs for 5.0 mustangs.

Sorry, my autocorrect changed catback to hatchback. And now I see that the OP also owns a 5.0 and the Ecoboost might be his wife's car. Ok, disregard my previous post and carry on! 🤣

However, I have to say that--conceptually--I hate the 3" downpipe to 2¼" OEM connection. This would be the time for the OP to change that.

I agree the whole point of the high flow DP is just that to increase flow so to keep the 2.25' restriction is just not acceptable.

I might. Who makes a good one with active exhaust
I don't have that feature, so never looked into it. Because I bought a 2½" catback first, then decided to add a downpipe (with a 2¼" connection between them, as each was designed to connect to OEM), mine turned into a bit of a DIY Frankenstein job to convert it to 3" from the downpipe to the split.
