For those of you that don't like the 17 sill plates (like me) I'm swapping mine out and will put on the 16 sill plates, which I think are perfect IMO. Here is part number and a couple of pics of what you get when ordered. There is no right or left, both are interchangeable. I got mine from AutoNation Ford, White Bear lake, MN (Formerly Tousley Ford). Price was $161.57 each plus $8.00 shipping. List price on these from Ford is $244.80 each!!!

Just can't get enuff!
Naaah it's subjective but I'll still debate against that.

It's still very nice! And IMO these origs look better... as in unique and more fitting than a generic FP nametag.

Even the new FP Strut Bar is generic now.... not bad but not as good as the original design on 15-16 models.

They do look better because we are not used to the new ones yet. But I actually do think they are more appropriate with this car.
Having said that in a couple months you won't talk about it anymore.
Thanks OP for sharing the part# for those interested in the swap.

Good move OP. I agree with the general sentiment on the new style. While change usually takes time to adjust to I'm going with my initial gut reaction on the '17 style.

Yuck.

It's all personal preference, right? Mine is the 15/16 sills, but others might argue I'm changing the originality of the car. I would say we mustang owners do that all the time, we aren't happy unless we are modding or tweaking our cars in some way. Anyway, just sharing info in case others feel the same way I do and care to make the change.

Well to me its not a $300 yuck. I'll like them just fine and be able to some aftermarket goodies or pay for a track day.

It's all about perspective and your own personal taste. If the new sill plates work for you that's great. For others, they don't.

I personally don't like the new sills either but at over $300 to swap them out I don't know if I don't like them *that* much. :D
