Thought you were doing a different kind of racing. If you’re getting hot at high speeds you need a bigger radiator and a smaller water pump pulley

Coolant doesn’t flow at the back of the head where the CHT sensor is very good. so I would check to see if the coolant is really at that temperature. so when it gets to 220-250 take a temperature gun and check the hoses for the heater and see if they’re really at that temperature or install a temperature gauge in the coolant somewhere so you can verify. if it’s just the cht sensor getting that hot because of the lack of coolant flow there’s modifications you can do, but if the coolant is really that hot, then you’re gonna need a radiator

I once had a Mishimoto radiator in, but it "almost" fit and required something I don't remember that I didn't like; I think I had to leave off intercooler mount bolts or something with the radiator installed. So I sold the MIshimoto. I guess I could try one again; that thing was huge.

I haven't installed an oil cooler yet, that will be the next step if the hood louver does not work. I don't like the idea of installing an oil cooler in front of the radiator blocking air to the radiator and would try to figure out where else to put it or off to the side like I think Mach 1 and GT350 does. That would probably require removing my fog/driving lamps to duct air to a side-mounted oil cooler, if I am envisioning things correctly.

My next track day won't be for another month or two so it will be awhile before I learn if the hood vent is enough of a fix.
