You made a great choice for a cruiser. Nothing like gliding down the highway.... especially with 700+HP I bet it's super comfortable and fast! Gotta watch out for the fuzz!!;)
I was thinking about talking the wife into a Charger HC for a family car :)

That's strange that it only gets 18mpg. Gears must not be as high or us it VVT /MDS in the autos? My 750hp 14 GT 500 was upsetting me sometimes because it took forever to get the gas out of the tank. Sometimes it would be older than a couple weeks and didn't want to run old gas...so I started only filling it 1/2 way. I think i was getting around 23 or 24mpg.
Maybe think about getting a tune. I bet they could give you another 3 or 4 mpg.

A nice thing about the M6 Hellcat is even in 6th, at 70 mph, if you floor it, You'll see triple digits in seconds. I love the GT350 but floor it at 70, in 6th you get nothing. The torque curve is excellent anywhere in the operating range on the Hellcat. The GT350 "wakes up" at about 3500 RPM. Down low, no one home.

All that said, the Hellcat is one heavy a*s car. I think it's close to 4500 lbs. In a road race, the GT350 would wipe the floor with the Hellcat but in the 1/4 mile, it would not even be close. Best of both worlds in my view

Yeah, 350 doesn't have the ooph but that said even in my GT500, you always want to be in a 3000rpm plus before you STOMP the gas as it is means for detonation.. and nobody likes that. The higher the octane the better tho. I would slam my GT500 into at least 4th at 70 before I stomped...but usually 3rd. I would burn rubber at 70... it's incredible...I would see 130 mph in no time flat.

Good video analyzing all of the video's tidbits:

[ame]

757 hp - the main take away.

In flesh, and 1/4 mile run at 9.5 ? :

[ame]

Listen to that lopey idle.
Must be the 757 hp "red key".

That idle is actually cylinder deactivation....so it's basically running on 6 or whatever. That's what I came to understand anyway. They actually run torque management off the line because of too much power.

Amen brother. The Hellcats are torque monsters.

I can tell you one thing Dodge is doing right....
Their TEASER VIDEOS on Youtube.... Holy Hellcat, I mean Demon... these videos are badass.
You got it bro. FCA's marketing is on point.
If the Hellcat is a beast,...can you imagine the Demon? Wow. Impressive Dodge. Impressive.

Ford is either 1) dumb 2) they aren't working on anything or 3) they are gonna let the product speak for itself.
I'm hoping for number 3 but I know the #1 comes to my mind a lot.

Thinking it will be similar to the unveiling of the GT350.
I think the teaser pic of the dash said a lot more than HP about the car. A little more deciphering needs done.

Stage, have you driven a GT350 yet? Curious to know what you think of it compaired to your s97 Roush?

reading on another site they said that this is not the demon but the Challenger Drag Pak

http://www.allpar.com/news/2017/03/pritchetts-challenger-drag-pak-isnt-a-demon-36897
I honestly did not think it was a Demon. The Demon is a wide body which flairs around the wheels. Also, that engine is NOT stock running 9's and it certainly has a very aggressive cam. Dodge may have called it a Demon but to me if seems like a purpose built dragster with a Challenger body. That is just my opinion.

Damn, clickbaits. SO much fake news these days!! Damn it, and thought everything on the internetz was true!!

Back to the videos.... it looks like 757 will be the hp, based on them.

But what about 777 hp ? Like 666, but upped by 1's.

I think they are playing games. I'm thinking the tq peak will be 757. I have a feeling HP will be around 800.

Yes, torque will be 757. HP 800+. That's on pump gas, amd with the click of a button it offsets the tune for Race fuel which should be good for another 50 hp. From what I gathered a while back is that it's top HP number will be around 880 hp. I'm pretty sure that is not at the wheels, although I've heard it would run into the 9s. Don't think it's gonna be drag pack challenger numbers but probably close.
