I see what you're saying Scott. I just love the way the R looks for some reason? Maybe it's the wheels, the rear spoiler, I don't know? Not to say the GT350 cars aren't beautiful, they are! Like I posted earlier, I think both the GT350 and GT350R cars are hot.
I don't track any of my vehicles, it would be a street warrior. So, worrying about weight and track times wouldn't have an affect on me. As long as it doesn't weigh as much as a Hellcat!!! :D lol
J/K, I like the Hellcats as well. I'm not a brand loyalist.
Gotcha. I didn't know why you'd want to FI a track car. That's why I didn't wanna come off as judging.

I like what fiat is doing here. Hype the hell out of it... good going.
Wish ford would hype the hell out of something other than a 450k untouchable hypercar.

News to me, and would be disappointing.... Since that would not make it a good daily driver. (DR's can be swapped easily)

A hellcat weighs right around 4,400 lbs give or take a few lbs...the article states that the Demon will weigh about 215 lbs lighter than a Hellcat - hell (no pun intended) that still puts it at roughly 4k lbs. No passenger seat to give a buddy a joy-ride? Button for race gas - this thing will truly be a street legal race car, albeit a big, hefty street legal race car :tsk:

I seen that. No front seat! Hahaha. I suppose everyone's gonna drive alone? I wouldn't be surprised if they offer a front seat option (add 58 lbs) so essentially this is just a street legal drag pack challenger? So maybe ford and Chevy should offer a street legal cobra jet and copo. Would be cool if you ask me! Probably not interested in the ADR but I'm still keeping an open mind.

If FMC makes a street-legal Cobra Jet that would be insane/$$$...love swinging by the Pits when I go to Pomona or Vegas and look at the Comp Eliminators, Super Stocks, and drum roll - the Cobra Jets & COPOs.

I can tell you one thing Dodge is doing right....

Their TEASER VIDEOS on Youtube.... Holy Hellcat, I mean Demon... these videos are badass.

[ame] (technology in the screen)

[ame] (hellcat turning in to demon)

Not only that, but they're actually showing you some really good hints,

like this video:
[ame]

They're showing the car getting weighed... and "Total Mass Reduction" starts out as red, then they highlight the parts that they're reducing. And they just flash each part for a second, so I had to fullscreen and set to to 1080, and keep pausing so I could see what parts.

Looks like:
wheels
front rotors (maybe 2 piece lightweight)
front sway bar (delete or lightweight?)
front (Racing?) seats
roof (aluminum?)
doors and/or body around doors?
rear seat delete?
mirrors?
rear brembo calipers
lugnuts (maybe titanium lightweight)
dash frame

Once they announced the Demon the prices and deals on the Hellcats started appearing.

I just had to pick up a Hellcat. I've got 2000 miles on it in a almost a month. It is a blast to drive and is very comfortable on the highway.

The GT350 is more of a road course car and the Hellcat is a straight light wonder. I still went with the M6 over the Auto even though the auto is quicker.

You can get a front seat, if you want it. It's an option. Hard core drag racers don't typically have passengers during their runs :)

I ruled out the demon a long time ago. I prefer some sort of handling apposed to none. The one front seat wasn't a big deal, i seen it was an option a while back.
I usually take at least one son, every where I go.

Yeah when the hellcat is built by the 10s of thousands, prices are gonna tank. I'll wait until the redesign before I consider another challenger. I had a 392 that loved to dent it's quarters and roof under its own torque (even tho I never beat on it) Other than that it was a good crusing car. The last gen GT500 manual tranny is just ads quick and faster on a road course as the hellcat and was built by considerably less numbers and they are retaining their value well. Was a fun car but was unrefined compaired to the 350. Not a good cruiser like the challenger tho.

Ol' Giles is GREAT at marketing!
FMC...you could hear pin drop 100 miles away.
Boring " yawns" coming from their employers and customers.

I agree 100%. Demon is not for me. Very happy with the GT350 and love the Hellcat for my long drives from PA to NC monthly. The only issue is teh M6 Hellcat gets 18 MPG on the Highway. The Auto gets 21-22 but that still was not enough to make me get an auto. Not that anyone buys one for gas mileage
