This is kind of a fun post.
I am one of the people who don't really care about what others assume or perceive about me. That goes as well with my car. I have a 2015 Mustang GT in Competition Orange. I love it. I owned and Ingot Silver 2012 Mustang before that. I will always have a kick ass car.
We are car enthusiasts. We love our car and what it does for us. For the regular people who think a car is just a car and it gets them from A to B, they will never get the car enthusiast mentality. That being said I think a lot of people who drive hot or cool cars are targets of peoples preconceived notions of why we drive kick ass cars. And possibly that we are jerks or d bags.
A neat thing I do to represent the Mustang community is being generous with complete strangers. If I'm at a drive through I will get the person behind me's order. Then they see a Mustang rolling off when they are told their food was covered. At the car wash I will leave enough change for the waiting patron. I usually wipe my car down outside the door so they see that Mustang left some change to wash their car. At restaurants I usually pay peoples bills if they are elderly and by themselves or just by themselves period without them knowing. Then I usually tell the waitress to tell them it was from a cool orange car in town. I cook meals for our local homeless shelter and drop it off with my Mustang. Don't get me wrong I don't do this 7 days a week. I don't have that much money.
I just think it's a cool way to let people see that Muscle car owners are nice people.
