This is kind of a fun post.

I am one of the people who don't really care about what others assume or perceive about me. That goes as well with my car. I have a 2015 Mustang GT in Competition Orange. I love it. I owned and Ingot Silver 2012 Mustang before that. I will always have a kick ass car.

We are car enthusiasts. We love our car and what it does for us. For the regular people who think a car is just a car and it gets them from A to B, they will never get the car enthusiast mentality. That being said I think a lot of people who drive hot or cool cars are targets of peoples preconceived notions of why we drive kick ass cars. And possibly that we are jerks or d bags.

A neat thing I do to represent the Mustang community is being generous with complete strangers. If I'm at a drive through I will get the person behind me's order. Then they see a Mustang rolling off when they are told their food was covered. At the car wash I will leave enough change for the waiting patron. I usually wipe my car down outside the door so they see that Mustang left some change to wash their car. At restaurants I usually pay peoples bills if they are elderly and by themselves or just by themselves period without them knowing. Then I usually tell the waitress to tell them it was from a cool orange car in town. I cook meals for our local homeless shelter and drop it off with my Mustang. Don't get me wrong I don't do this 7 days a week. I don't have that much money.
I just think it's a cool way to let people see that Muscle car owners are nice people.

Share if you have any ways you do something similar. If you don't do this...try it and post what you did!

Spread the love!!

If there's a "Mustang Heaven", those good works of yours will surely give you the express-lane in. I just try to tell everyone how pleased I am with mine and then explain the virtues of all three engine choices. I've convinced two of my friends to buy Ecoboosts and one to get a GT. All three of those guys drove BMWs and every one commented that until the new Mustang had IRS they never even thought of Mustangs. They tell me it's the new IRS that impressed them, but I know for a fact that two of their wives fell in love with the looks of the S550 Mustang. The third wife told her husband he had to buy the Ruby Red Mustang as she was also going to be driving it. Funny thing about all this is these three guys used to be what I call " car snobs"... You know the type...wouldn't be caught dead driving an American car.

I can't come close to your level of generosity, but I usually pick up the tab for coffee/donuts for LEOs and military in uniform if they're in line behind me. I've taken quite a few wounded warriors to lunch/dinner when the opportunity presented itself while I was working at BWI. You, sir, have set the bar incredibly high. Well done! :headbang:

I wanna know where the OP lives so I can follow him around... lol. I also have a CO 2015. I've been known to pay it forward a time or two.

I just don't drive like an asshole on the road. You'd be amazed by how many people out there drive like complete jerks because they don't use their turn signals, tailgate for no reason, obnoxiously stay in the passing lane, text while driving, drunk drive, etc ...

I just try not to be one of those people and hopefully that translates into presenting a good image of Mustang owners in general.
