I guess it depends on the type of driving you'll be doing. My convertible is a daily driver. I turned it off from day one. I can match the revs just fine, but I don't track the car. Most of my acceleration is done on highway on ramps or passing on two-lane highways. I'll be in the car for a few hours Wednesday. I'll turn it on and see how it is.

I really like how the computer gives it a little gas at the stop light. Makes it much easier when creeping along in stop-and-go traffic.

I don't use the hill assist. I learned a trick early on using the hand brake to hold myself if on a tricky hill.

I tried it. The rev match is a good tool. If I were chasing or being chased, I would definitely have it on. But...

On my daily driving around town I find the accelerator blip during down shifts too aggressive. I'll keep it off for my daily driving, but consider turning it should I find myself being chased or chasing.

I keep it disabled unless I'm really tired. I never had the luxury of auto-blip downshifts when I started driving stick at 16.

Rev-matching yourself, to me, is part of learning how to drive manual. Not necessary, but more like an "advanced" skill that you can pick up. Not to be confused with heel & toe though, which really is only necessary on track.

Mine is pretty much always off. I only turn it on when I want to get a little rowdy. Everyday driving with it on is kind of annoying. I don't need to be that guy sitting in traffic with rev matching every time I downshift at 20 mph! lol
