DO NOT BUY THE ROUSH MUSTANG ECOBOOST INTAKE!! THEY SAY IT DOESNT REQUIRE A TUNE BUT IT REALLY DOES!! I keep getting turbo flutter sound and compressor surge!!

I called there warranty department and a representative named JAKE and KYLE in sales and they both tried to tell me it is normal that I get turbo flutter and compressor surge!!!

the intake shouldn't have a single thing to do with what's happening with your wastegate/BPV actuation.

you're just now actually hearing what's going on in your intake tract that you couldn't hear before.

This is a video of my ST, skip to a minute into the video and you can clearly hear the sound of not only the BPV venting back into the intake, but also compressor stall that you just couldn't hear stock because of the damping of the stock intake. not a thing wrong with my car, you can just hear what's going on. stage 3, tuned, etc. but it's not any different than your mustang, just the car it's in is different.

Its not a push or wosh sound, its turbo flutter! it happens and the car wont go to normal boost levels anymore until the car is turned off and on again

you sure you installed everything correctly? the bov not opening is the issue and its electronic (if youre still stock) and it opens based on the throttle position. I am certain the intake isn't the cause unless the recir hose port is blocked not allowing the stock bpv to be able to recir back into the intake, but you don't need tunes for the intakes for our cars. that's for cars with a different type of air sensor.

i listened to your video, it's the same exact thing in my video, compressor stall, as your probably at the point of no boost/no vacuum and you're hearing the compressor stall instead of the BPV venting, since it's not venting any boost. you're on the threshold of boost.

what i hear in your video is identical to what's in mine. double check your connections on the sensor that's right off the intake, the MAF. make sure it's tight and the connection is correct, because the car will be all wonky if it's not able to properly meter the air -- which shouldn't have changed at all, since the intake tube is the same diameter.

They say it doesnt require a tune! it is installed 100% correctly! If it doesnt require a tune this shouldnt happen.... there warranty department said a calibration for the car will take care of! and right on there product page on their website it says NO CALIBRATION REQUIRED!!

also i keep seeing people freaking out when on it about turbo "flutter" @ WOT which is just it venting excess boost. to maintain levels.

turbo flutter based on my research is back pressure which on the long run isnt good for the turbo blades

no calibration is needed. the intake tube size is the same, you're just hearing the noises that are there to begin with.

I'd pull the MAF, and make sure it's facing the correct direction (people have fucked that up before) and that the connection at the tube is also tight, as well as the other clamping points.
